The tower’s tooltip explicitly says the steel comes from Steelworks or factories. It also displays how much this city currently has; that inventory number is the creator’s balance and not the building’s requirement. Read the requirement and inventory fields separately.

How do you plan supply without a verified recipe?

Locate the steel-producing structure offered in your current Industrial menu and read its selected product’s inputs and output. We have not established a conversion quantity such as “one iron becomes one steel.” Do not budget that recipe until its panel is available. Once verified, enter demand and per-building throughput over the same period in the production planner.

For construction, total the chosen steel requirements separately from money. Two historical Glass Towers require 1,400 steel using that panel. Five Shahed-236 manufacturing items require 200 steel using their recipe. Those examples illustrate batching; combining them into a live forecast requires a current shared version and available factories.

Why can steel be the bottleneck when money is positive?

Money is only one construction or manufacturing input. The recorded tower and drone both expose an additional material requirement. Check each named resource before repeating a purchase, then check the producer’s workers and utilities rather than assuming its input shortage can be fixed by more housing alone.

Where should you go next?
