Build and Conquer Land Expansion: Buy Room for Your Next District

The October 12 land panel shows a three-by-three section grid and one of nine sections owned. A selected section is blocked because it does not touch owned land.

Why does the land panel say the section is landlocked?

In ItzVexo’s October 12 recording at 7:45, the selected section does not touch the player’s owned land. The interface tells the player to buy a neighboring section first. It also shows 1/9 sections owned in a 3×3 grid. The inspected frame does not complete a purchase, so it establishes the blocked state and stated adjacency rule, not an observed expansion animation.

The selected landlocked section is not adjacent to owned land; displayed quote and rising price rule.

How do you budget an expansion?

  1. Open the land expansion grid and locate the sections you already own.
  2. Select a section touching owned land; read any lock reason before looking at price.
  3. Copy the quote currently shown for that section. The recorded selection shows $50,000, and its price label says the price doubles with each section.
  4. Keep a separate construction reserve for the roads and utility coverage that will make the new district useful.
  5. Recheck the quote after a purchase; do not assume a long queue of sections can all be bought at the first displayed price.

The screenshot’s price progression is a stated rule for that panel. It is not proof that every session starts with the same land quote or that a diagonal touch counts as adjacency. Those questions need their own observed purchase test.

When is a larger plot useful?

Expansion is a planning decision when the current district lacks room for a specific building, road connection or utility arrangement. Compare that need with reorganizing a small part of the existing plot. Buying room does not automatically create residents, workers or income. Sketch the next district and check its whole construction budget before using up the treasury on land alone.

Where should you go next?
