Build and Conquer Mall: Strip Mall Income and Requirements
Read the recorded Strip Mall income, upkeep, service count, level gate and conflicting worker labels before expanding retail.
Which mall does this record describe?
The verified building is Strip Mall, found under Civilian → Commercial → Retail. This is a named retail building, not evidence that every possible mall variant has identical attributes.
Recorded panel data. Missing fields are not verified; they are not zero. Costs, capacity and operating conditions may change in Beta.

How should you place a Strip Mall?
- Select the specifically named card in Retail and check your current quoted price.
- Read its city condition. The later level-2 housing tooltip also includes at least 300 residents in houses; the mall’s shorter label does not prove that category conditions are absent.
- Keep road access within the printed distance and supply water and spare energy.
- Inspect the completed building’s staffing and operation. Because this frame disagrees about workers, do not commit your last three free workers on the assumption that the sidebar is wrong.
Serving 75 citizens is not housing capacity. This record does not establish a geographic service radius, a food recipe or a formula turning the happiness label into extra city income.
What does the listed operating margin mean?
Subtracting the displayed upkeep from income gives $192 per pay cycle for this record. Two such cards would list $6,848 construction, $400 income, $16 upkeep and 40 energy demand. The $384 difference excludes the separate cost of supplying residents, water and power; it is not a measured city-wide profit.
Worker efficiency remains uncalculated because its input is disputed. The same recording contains a Large Supermarket panel, allowing a comparison of undisputed fields without combining different videos. Use that comparison for a conditional choice, then read your live panel before building.
